It’s pretty chilling to see them marching down the streets of Germany nazi saluting and violently attacking immigrants given the history of the country. They have laws against these things but apparently appeasement is back in fashion too...
You're right. I'm German and it is really scary to see that the AfD is getting bigger and bigger. The worst part is that this people say that they are fighting against violence when the opposite is the case.
Not a fan of AfD but acc to NYT article this was organized by neo-Nazis, not AfD.
There were two rallies organised on Saturday, one by a far right group Pro Chemnitz & one by the far right party AfD. The former dissolved and told the attendees to join the latter. The latter accepted them in their rally. They marched together.
