That's an interesting idea but it has a streak of ageism. Are the young more likely to favor the young & shiny candidate over the moderate /experienced? & we saw plenty of young neo Nazis bearing torches.

Only about 42% of Millennials voted in the last election as opposed to 61% Gen Xers, 68% Baby Boomers, and 72% Silent Gen. Maybe that’s why.

It's a very real possibility that
@AndrewGillum could win every age group except 65+ and still lose tonight. Young folks gotta defy the pollsters and vote today for real.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The day young people pay more attention to politics than pop culture would be a day to celebrate.

This would be sage advice if the youth’s “support” reliably translated into actual “votes” on Election Day. Unfortunately we have to consider the turnout factor.

So an older candidate with good ideas has no value? We “age out” of consideration? All my life there has been some reason to ignore me. It bothers me that you choose to add to that burden. Historically, Africans and Asians have valued the wisdom life experience can bring. Sad

This a really garbage take. How about qualifications other than age, we don't back people because they're young.

For your approach to work, young people have to come out consistently and vote in off year and midterm elections. The problem with the youth vote is twofold: 1.) They're fickle and they don't turn out and 2.) They don't stay young and their priorities change over time.
