I think voters would have a pretty easy time moving from Bernie to Warren or vice versa.
I fundamentally disagree with the root premise of this article. I hope that BOTH Bernie & Elizabeth Warren run. I openly welcome a competitive primary. More Bernie voters voted for Clinton than Clinton voters voted for Obama. The kind of voters you are talking about were hangers on to a personality and were never going to vote for Clinton, and were a very small minority of Bernie voters, just like the HillaryIs44 people in 08

But does Bernie not have to join the dem party? Foreigner asking. If he is not even a member of the party should he not run as an Independent? Just asking because that is how it works here.

Bernie is an Independent but he caucuses with the Democrats. There have been some recent rule changes within the DNC that would make it harder for him to run as a Dem, without publicly stating that he's a registered Democrat. So I guess the answer is... It's complicated.

Ok shew. It certainly seems complicated. What I do know is that I would be hesitant (in fact I would be pissed off) if an Independent tried to run on my party's platform here in SA. Just my opinion.

I have admired Bernie Sanders for thirty years, but I don't want to see anybody over 75 run for President. The last two old guys showed serious mental degradation in office. I love Bernie, but biology is biology.

Running together would avoid splitting the progressive vote. I don't know a single progressive who wouldn't vote for either a Warren /Sanders or Sanders/Warren ticket.
