I'm all for pointing out racism when I see it, but I don't see these trucks as racist. Why does attempting to catch a criminal need to be racist? If they go to a neighborhood with a high crime rate and perform a sting operation, then what does that have to do with race?

Sorry, guys. I didn't mean to reply just to you. I meant to reply to the entire post so we can all have input on the conversation.

They are entrapping people for sport. These kids are impoverished. Leave bread out for a starving man and he will take it. The police in Chicago can’t solve any crimes and are statistically abysmal. They are creating criminals instead of actually helping the community.

No kids even attempted to get into the unmarked truck . Trucks in recent weeks have been broken into so they did sting . They caught 2 or 3 adults in truck , no kids .

Okay Brian Rose. If this "has nothing to do with race" let's park a Best Buy truck, open in a white neighborhood filled with XBoxs, Playstations and Ipads. Unattended. That is since "race has nothing to do with it."

I grew up in South Sac. I didn't grow up rich and I'm not rich now. Something anyone who went to my high school will tell you is they remember the Asian lady with one arm who went around and collected water bottles and soda cans out of garbage cans and didn't make excuses.

I can also tell you from having worked in fast food that there is almost always someone hiring, so please don't tell me that they have to steal to survive. Again... they chose Chicago because of it's high crime rate, not because of it's racial demographic.
