Sometime in the last decade or so it finally dawned on me the power and import of the "black is beautiful" idea. Attacking the appearance of black people, children no less, is an endlessly cruel tools used by oppressors. I hope Garrick is ok.

It's not the fade hair cut they have a issue with, it's the color underneath. The fade has been around forever and will continue.

Wanna know what's "distracting" when you're in class?

You know what's distracting? Being a little black boy, who has to look around at the hairstyles of his non-POC fellow students for an example of how he can wear his hair and not get expelled - INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON HIS SCHOOL LESSONS!!!!

Pray for these children when you lay your head on your pillow every night. Their little souls are damaged by the actions of those who we have taught them to respect and learn from... Children are born to love and taught to hate.pic.twitter.com/kqwKnDyyDA

We need photos of the hair on all white boys attending that school

-
the rule was added to the handbook’s dress code because of 2 white boys. their hair was too long and they had to cut it as well. and garrick still goes there, he was not expelled.

I guess we now have to legislate style,I think any student should be allowed any hairstyle so long as it is not making a political statement or not covering their face to the detriment of learning
-
I agree!

Christian school Black and White, have a set of hair rules. I know first hand! At many Black Christian schools they want ALL the boys to have their hair cut very low. Stop playing these race games. It looks like many people that comment on this is fallen for this misinformation.
