It's been raining here in Detroit. I got up, saw she passed in the news. Got my coffee, and parted the windows. I found myself "Lookin out on the morning rain". "I used to feel so uninspired." You will be missed, Queen. But never forgotten. You hold a special spot for Detroiters.

I grew up with the sound of Aretha Franklin’s voice in my home; Gospel, Pop, R&B and Jazz, she sang it all! I feel like a family member has passed away.. She will be greatly missed!
