Public schools are one of the few institutions in this country that welcomes everyone, regardless of race, creed, religion, immigration status, income, hair color/style, gender...best wishes to the young man and his family for a great school year!

I went to Christian school from 1st-12th w/same rules about hair-most have obsession w/pointless rules. & my edu was garbage: creationism = true/evolution = false, history & lit incl almost no female or POC perspectives, lit censored, no sex ed. I hope he loves his new school!!

I did also. One of my most favorite rules was girls skirts could be 4 inches above the knee while boys shorts had to be at least 1 inch below the knee. We had some perverts writing that one I suspect...

Ours was skirts/dresses to knees & shorts couldn’t be shorter than the bottoms of your fingers w/hands next to your sides. We all had to dress up for mandatory chapel on Wed. I almost forgot the corporal punishment-my little bro got spanked almost every day in 1st for talking

Then my parents would spank him again at home for getting in trouble at school. I really think that messed him up, he seriously hardly talks as an adult now

Sorry if this got off topic. The rule about hairstyles is racist for sure! I guess my point is this little boy deserves a better education than this school could possibly give him. I have yet to find a Christian school that provides much beyond religious indoctrination.
