Not uncommon for a Christian school. I’m sure there’s good ones out there, but the majority are harmful. I had a friend expelled from our Christian high school because a teacher found out she was gay. Another friend of mine was told not to wear her hair naturally.

Slightly off-topic: the preacher at our southern baptist church told my father my hair was too long and "ungodly". I suggested that jesus's hair likely looked like mine...that didn't go over very well. It also ended my religious life...
