Go to Shanghai. Ride its metro/subway. You will think you are traveling in time and you are in the next century. They can’t fathom why we can’t figure out rapid transit. We can if we make it a priority, are willing to pay for it.

Why doesn't the city sell subway stops to advertiser's. They can see decorate them as long as they meet certain standards.

What are the odds that the MTA will jack up fare prices up to 20 bucks, take 100 years to fix shitty stations in low income neighborhoods and complain that they need more funding.
