secrecy/lies in adoption, many of these adoptees don't find out they're not citizens until they're adults--some not until their adopters are dead. Those of us who adopted internationally have known about this for years, especially the Korean adoptees who were deported back to Korea and died by suicide. Speak to Holt Adoptions - they pioneered the "savior" adoption racket. The more you look, the worse it gets.

I have a friend adopted from Korea who has a US passport but her parents have long since "lost" all her original paperwork including her birth certificate and adoption documents. She holds onto her passport for dear life.

I’m assuming they were made American citizens, so how can they be deported?

In some cases I've read about there's one form that some adoptive parents didn't fill out, & the govt neglected to let them know they needed it. I think most of the cases are due to errors on the part of parents. But they have SS#s, drivers license, etc
