Quite. I refuse to believe tasering an 11-year-old is ever acceptable. I mean, let's face it, it's cowardly. I can imagine a child being tricky or unruly, even violent. But she was tiny. Any police officer worth their salt could have & should, if truly necessary, restrained her.

Well, I don't think a clip round the ear is acceptable, either! But I take your point. I still remember the days when simply disappointment from your elders was the most crushing punishment. You know what I mean? I was never hit and I would never hit. Don't like it. Wrong model.

I was brought up by a mother who firmly believed in corporal punishment - she couldn't understand why I hated her.

@CincyPD can’t handle a small 11 year old they need to resign immediately. Additionally, change your damn handbook of rules & regulations. When I was 9 I tried to steal a pack of gum from a store. The owner caught me, took the gum and said he was going to tell my mother. I was so scared I never did it again. He saw me as a child who just didn't know any better, not as a criminal. Why are our kids not seen that way?
