We need to seriously consider the idea of speech. Jones' combustion of harassment and fabrication appears more like yelling fire in a crowded theater, to provoke panic. People defending his content as speech might not be familiar with what he presents.

I agree Jane. He has violated many laws - not just policies.
-
If he yelled fire in a crowded theater, that’s a form of illegal speech. If he incited violence, potentially the same. Careful with the private business argument. Civil Rights Act imposes obligations on private businesses to serve everyone.
-
...but the civil Rights act does not require businesses to allow every behavior. Jones isn't being targeted because of his race, gender, or skin. He's violating private companies terms of service and being removed for such violations. The CRA has literally nothing to do with it

Technically speaking... he can only do that from the public right of way. If he wishes to stand in front of Walmart, or even the parking lot of Walmart, he must get the permission from the store management or they could have him forcibly removed if so desired.

Correct. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. And Twitter and FB are private companies. They have no obligation to host dangerous lunatics like Jones. His mental illness isn't their problem.

@shaunking don't be that guy. Don't be shocked when this tweet doesn't age well. When private corps decide posting videos of black men getting attacked by cops is a violation of service, this is gonna be the case. Stop it. -
That’s a really bad comparison and you should feel bad for posting it publicly for other people to see
-
Trusting these corps is not the way to go.I was just trying to make the point with a severe comparison. Shaun does good work, nobody wants to see some rich oligarch censor that under the guise of violation of terms of service
