Someone hateful has targeted my children tonight. The lowest moment of my life as a leader. Pray for us. We’re safe, but deeply humiliated.

Anonymous isn't anonymous. They know who it is. Lawyer up and file harassment charges on whoever is making the false claims. PS... I'm glad you are all safe, last night I thought you meant something physical.
-
Anonymous is anonymous. I work in Child welfare. Half the calls that come through do not leave information. As long as they have parents and childs info, they can make a claim.
-
That’s it??! They don’t have to prove that they are even in a position to know this? That they’ve ever met the family? Been in close enough proximity to know? No wonder that agency can be easily manipulated/weaponized .
-
Yup. Smh. And it sucks because they have to investigate. But whoever made the call probably crossed paths with them because you at least have to know the familes name. Chil, parent, things like that
-
You could find that out via social media.. Facebook, etc..
-
Not their home address, which Shaun and Rai have gone to great lengths to conceal. That is the scariest part of this whole traumatizing situation.
-
An incident occurred where a government agency was used on Tariq Nasheed when an anonymous bomb threat was called in for his home. He and his family where marched out of their home while the police went to investigate. Somehow they got his address.
-
I definitely put what the King family is experiencing on par with this event as well. While it is not it impossible to find anyone's address if enough effort is applied, someone with nefarious intent went over and beyond to find the private address of the King Family. Scary.

Had this happen to us in Florida. Child services is required by law to investigate every time someone makes a report. After the fourth visit, the case worker said she had contacted the person filing the report and told her charges would be filed if she did it again. 1/2
-
The caseworker also said she was quitting her job. She said 80% of all reports filed with Child Services are by someone seeking vengeance, and almost all are unfounded. She just couldn't take it anymore. -30-
-
The percentage is actually 60%. It's been 15 years, so my memory is not as accurate as I thought it was. It's still a huge percentage.

It may be necessary to investigate all reports because there are cases where children may really be in danger. HOWEVER if it is found that a report is false, the family should be able to hold the false reporter liable for damages and be able to press charges for harassment
-
@ShaunKing and his wife are having to take time from work and their schedules for this BS. There is no telling what effects this may have on his children long term. - 1 more reply

This is outrageous and infuriating. I’m so sorry Shaun.
-
This is 100% NOT ok and I hope the truth comes to light fast. I doubt there's much any of us can do to help but please let us know any way we might be able to.

That’s their job. They have to investigate reports. I’m sure this disgusting troll used horrible trigger words that made this more urgent to CPS. Don’t get angry or demonize the agency doing their job. Imagine if they didn’t investigate claims every time a parent denied things.
-
I’ve worked with CPS as a third party so many times when I worked for a domestic violence agency. CPS is weaponized a lot and it’s disgusting. Typically they interview and look at the house. If there’s nothing to see they go away.
-
They have too many legitimate cases to spend on an obvious bs claim. Get a lawyer for sure tho, but in my experience it’s just easier to work with them
-
Agreed. They can tell a false report once they investigate.
-
But none of this explains why the woman lied at the door. Is lying just doing their job?
-
Lied at the door? Not sure what you mean
-
When she went to their house she lied and said she was a babysitter to try to gain access. You can read the whole experience to date if you are curious.
-
I read it. Don’t know why she lied but perhaps that’s a strategy that she uses that works for her to gain entry because often people don’t let ACS in. Wouldn’t they know if sitter was expected? Makes no sense
