For the past 4 hours I’ve been working with attorneys/friends to protect my family and it appears that New York Child Services is going to try to force my wife and I to allow them to interview our children off of a fake anonymous call. They really are going to try to do this.

I understand how horrific and horrible this is for you. I also understand how scared you are for your kids. I have worked in NYC's NFP's for over 20 years and people use ACS as a retaliatory measure all the time. It's disgusting. Unfortunately since the calls come in anonymously

On an 800 number , ACS has no choice but to investigate. They have no idea whether the call is " real" or whether or not kids are in danger. If they don't investigate, and a child is seriously at risk or in imminent danger, we hold them accountable. Too many kids have died - even

After ACS is involved. I don't remember whether you are an attorney or not but having an attorney contact the highest levels of ACS is exactly the right way to proceed. The caseworker doesn't " know who you are" and shouldn't care. We have to hold ACS to a high standard. Now,

Next steps should be to have better and more specific questions asked during the initial intake process. I know your kids are safe. There are thousands who are not.

I also work for a nfp affiliate funded by acs. Cooperate. Document and record everything. The investigation stays open for 60 days.

Can you get witnesses from social media and people who you know to talk with them regarding this matter? This is very illegal what they are doing and they have a motive to stop you from speaking up about Injustice. Can NAACP,Al Sharpton help you? Can your pastor help?

He will literally have to sit with ACS. That's the law. There is no way they can prove fake calls even when they suspect them. This story needs to make the mainstream news. NY ACS needs to be changed.

I’ve seen them destroy lives. They have an admittedly incredibly difficult mission. But they are a mess and they are dangerous. Reform should’ve come long ago.

This abuse of DHS being weaponized happens daily & sadly wastes precious resources. I strongly suggest you hire an attorney & demand that once you've been cleared, the motivation of idiot filing a known false report be prosecuted. And personally sued if attny learns identity.

I hope you don’t have kids and if you don’t, that you never will. Nothing to hide doesn’t subside the fear of losing your children, or being wrongfully targeted. Plus it feels like everyone’s time gets wasted, especially if it becomes a regular occurrence

Have your attorneys been contacted NY Child Services? Seems implausible. Someone from there shouldn't be pretending she's there as a babysitter. She shouldn't try to scream at you and intimidate you to gain entrance to your home. Who says who the "supervisor" was? Seems odd.

These types of situations happen everyday. Abusers use the system to terrorize their victims. The only way for it to go away is to comply and prove the obvious. The children are safe.
