Thank you for this! Unfortunately, we were never taught about Black successes except for a few that included Harriet Tubman and MLK when I was a child; and just outside, the Civil Rights movement was raging in our Country. My, how things haven’t changed....

When I was in Jr high school in the early 70s, the curriculum was infused with Black history because we had no Black history month. Now other than MLK few people are exposed to the great Blacks that helped build this country.

We need more of this is America. I'll be completely honest, other than a few things I've read under that name, I didn't know anything about this man. America needs to open up history as history is written, not just a frame up of "some" black people, but all who mattered. Thanks
