Some people are fully addicted to talking about change. Not making it. Not doing it. Just talking about it. Whole lifetimes of change talk. But making change is hard. It’s messy. It requires uncomfortable adjustments and coalitions. It’s rarely ideologically pure.

Fame is strange. So is effectiveness. Combine both and you start to have enemies come out of the woodwork. And then you learn something truly painful... What you are doing to change the world, others may be doing for fame or power. So they see you as a threat to their status.
