Yup, should probably just ignore the worsening chronic mental health problems in this country. Too complicated. At least for Twitter.

The same way racism, sexism, equal rights, and police brutality is ignored! Or just excused!!

Ummm, when was the last march for mental health? In Oakland, I encounter a mentally ill person every day, some of them ticking time bombs. The problem is in our faces and we do nothing because it’s not a “sexy” issue. No Twitter points for talking about it.

No Shaun Kings using their vast platforms to talk about it.

Just overworked, underpaid social workers quietly trying to hold back the dam every damn day.

I understand the need for more attention on mental health but the fact that this murder was aware enough to change his clothes after the crime showed this was premeditated

All I’m saying is we always go for the quick and easy answer because it makes us feel better.
