At this point it should just be called the 4th Reich. It's ashame that the state was created for Jewish people to avoid persecution and exeuction, but ironically they are doing the same thing to Palestinians and African migrants.
Israel is an Apartheid state. This is only controversial to say because Apartheid states never like to be recognized as such. Just like how racists hate being called "racist" more than they actually hate racism itself.

The western states that helped legitimize the creation of Israel wanted it to be an outpost for imperialism. Indeed, compare the countries who voted for the creation of Israel at the UN to their record on accepting Jewish refugees during WWII.

On the other hand, Zionists say that it was created as a legitimate expression of Jewish self-determination to allow Jews to avoid persecution. This has been a highly successful narrative and way for Israel to gain legitimacy...
