I know the 2020 presidential campaigns are basically already underway, but I think candidates who intend to oppose Trump should begin to announce their candidacies sooner than we've ever done before.

Not only that, but we saw what the Russians did with HRC. Anyone declaring early is rolling out a red carpet for not just greater opposition research, but utter sabotage.
I used to think that. My answers in reply are too long for Twitter, but I feel very strongly about it.

The worst thing that the Democrats can do right now is be reactive or hasty. Fact is, there are a lot of moving parts here and, should the Republicans take a beating on November, it would be wise to let them start their civil war first.

Dems need good leadership, I think you're right that we need to see a change in tone and candor, big changes, focusing on how directly evil Republicans are and that big changes are needed to fight back. Wether it's announcing, or some other form, Dems need to think BIG
