1. Well, you have to admit this was an unusual election. 2. Corporations helped elect DT. 3. The media wrote the narrative, giving Hillary a negative one. 4. The Russians meddled in the election. 5. The Demos were split. Barney on one side. Hillary another. 6. Demos should ...

HRC avoided the media avoided debates. Agent Orange spoke to the media everyday. Maddow had to BEG HRC for an interview. HRC out raised and out spent Orange. Suburban White Woman haven’t voted for a Dem Pres in several generations, that’s who HRC targeted her GOTV at. Didn’t work
-
I did not see Hillary avoiding the media or debates.
-
Well, there was that time on the day she announced she was running and she gave the media the slip (it was funny). The Dem debate schedule vs the GOP debate schedule. The lack of Facebook avails, lack of Twitter interaction closed door events. Maybe u didn’t see it. Fair enough
-
I see it as maybe being poor campaign judgement, not overt avoidance out of fear of questions. HRC, while not a dynamic speaker, is usually pretty well prepared for questions from what I saw. After a lifetime in the public eye I am sure we can both find a video flub or two.

She didn’t have a problem giving secret speeches to Goldman Sachs
-
Trump has used the White House to make $500 million dollars in personal profits since taking office. He’s got everybody from Secret Service to the State Department renting Trump Tower space and Trump golf carts etc. But you’re still worried about Hillary’s speeches. Smh.

Well, your way (Bernie’s) actually led to what we have now. Bernie can tell a black house rep that she is wrong about peaceful protests, but he couldn’t tell his own supporters that Trump was much worse than HRC.
-
Weird, because I remember him campaigning for Hillary after the primary and endorsing her. And in fact he said the exact things that you're saying he didn't say. He explicitly said many times that Hillary was better than Trump.

They don't seem to understand that it's the candidate and their campaign's responsibility to go out and get the electorate excited and inspire them to vote. It's not the electorate's responsibility to support a candidate that doesn't speak to them nor represent their views.
-
But if their models and consultants are wrong...this would mean they would have to reevaluate all of their assumptions. They would...have to be progressive...instead of seeking to maintain the status quo.
-
Yeah Progressive not on the menu few days ago through rules and bylaws cmte DNC changed to make Tom Perez (chair) the Sole decision maker if you qualify as a loyal and faithful Dem and can be Pres under DNC...
Sounds alot like the electoral system versus popular vote to me...

Kinda seems like it's too late for either side to win now. For the next few decades at least, the role of the left (in whatever form) is just trying to limit/reverse Trump damage.
-
Trump damage can be reversed just like he reversed Obamas decisions. If he is unseated in 2020 we can undo damage very quickly. But we have to actually try.
-
Can't exactly undo the courts, and it'll be a helluva lot harder for the next POTUS to repair the harm done to norms/institutions/standing than it was for Trump to repeal Obama's Executive Orders.
-
I don't agree. The GOP in a single year passed everything they wanted. Trump signed away everything he wanted to undo. Why could say a Dem majority and dem WH not do same? Are republicans magical?
-
Steve, if the ppl demand the Trump regime’s damage be undone it could all happen in a matter of months. Judges can be impeached especially if the Pres who appointed them is removed from office for criminal offenses.
-
Not if those judges did nothing wrong.
-
Steve, let me use an example to clarify. If a thief steals a car and gives to it his wife. If he gets convicted she doesn’t get to keep the car. It’s embedded in our system of justice that no one is allowed to benefit from ill gotten gains.
-
Except that's not how it works. Congress is supposed to be a check on Trump. If they confirm the judges, those judges are on the court and can only be removed for behavioral issues.
