I applaud the Mayor of Pittsburgh for stepping up and calling out this judge. That in my opinion has a far greater impact long term than the temporary release of the murderer. Now it's up to the prosecuting attorney to come down hard. This release will hurt less if found guilty.

No. That's not an accurate understanding of what criminal reform is. What Shaun fights about is black & brown ppl getting a traffic violation & arrested & held with $20k cash bonds. Often these ppl are held 4 months/years without a trial or conviction.

You know all the talk about the make-up of SCOTUS well this is why lower level judges matter even more. Elected or appointed they wield a lot of power. Our voice is our vote. Twitter goes a long way letting elected judges know you'll be showing up election time.

This reminds me of how the LA judge released the killer of 15 yr old Latasha Harlins with no prison time after a voluntary manslaughter conviction by the jury & how a Bronx judge refused to convict the officer who choked 29 yr old Anthony Baez to death in front of his home.
