The United States is the only nation in the world that has more guns than people. We have 103 guns for every 100 people. And we have over 300 million people. Most nations have 6 guns (or less) for every 100 people. Our nation has too many guns. Period. It’s math.

Factor in the number of those people that are old enough to own a gun and that's what's really scary! People amassing full armories with military type weapons because this is "Merica" and it's my 2A right makes absolutely no sense. Never did. Wasn't the point of the 2A.

oh and it's definitely math. Gun manufacturers make a weapon that can last for decades with proper maintenance and care. How they convince these morons to keep buying them is beyond me. about 30% of the U.S. public own all the guns and 3% own HALF of all guns in the U.S.

I think that just shows if guns were really the issue we would have far more gun deaths.

Obviously a country that has legal guns & easier access to guns will have higher gun deaths. My point was just if you look at how many guns we have if it was really just guns as the issue we would have far more deaths. The real issue is our country not investing in mental health.

Well guns are a part of it, didn’t mean to say they aren’t. I’m just saying look at how many guns we have. If just owning a gun was a problem we would have a lot more gun violence. Our real issue is keeping guns out of the hands of people that shouldn’t have them.

how about this as a compromise: people mostly buy guns as a power trip fantasy, so we take away their guns but give every gun owner certifications that they have the biggest dick in the world.

And.....do you see us being taken over by another nation? Would you attack a fortress heavily armed? Check the second amendment again, it’s timeless. The solution is to make criminals pay swiftly, not languish in prison for decades. We are very lax on criminals in this country.
