The training militarizes cops. Saw a nice, decent family member become an angry racist through police training. He bought into the “Just Us” (so clever, right?) mentality. Perhaps not all cop trainees are so susceptible to learning to hate. But he was.

I wonder if it's something to do with training. If there is a flaw in training that makes officers more likely to shoot black people. An example would be paper targets being of black figures.
