This is a sober perspective on the issue. This is the question ppl offended by “incivility” must ask themselves. It’s easy to say looking back at history “I would’ve spoken out against Hitler and his regime” but as many historians have stated, the greatest sin was civil silence.

“Greatest sin” from those observing the atrocities, obviously there was no greater sin than the atrocities themselves. If you believe inhumanity should be met with polite civility rather than public scorn, you may want to do some serious soul searching.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." — Edmund Burke Complacency is complicity.

Amazing quote and response. ABSOLUTELY. EDWARDO. ABSOLUTELY.

That is a false equivalency and as a liberal I can’t support how Sarah was treated because of her profession. Should restaurants refuse to serve lawyers who defend killers? Doctors for treating inmates who are murders? Soldiers? The restaurant was wrong.

Just like the Trump supporter who drove a tow truck and refused to help a stranded lady stuck in the snow simply because she had a Bernie sticker on her car...

I'd take her order and deflect every question, make sure I repeatedly tell her I'd have to check with chef and get back to her

I'd serve her, then smile and ask if she really wants to eat that. Her call.

This tweet is funny only because at my job I won’t serve you for far less egregious things than that. For example: being rude or drunk, annoying other guests, harassing the staff and so many other things. Refusing to serve people in this administration is easy.

There are very few Republicans I'd serve a meal to. Actually, John McCain may be the only one I'd feed.
