....and many of those children will likely never see their parents again. It's reminiscent of slave families being torn apart, sold at auctions to the highest bidder, then carted away to some plantation and separated from their loved ones.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Slave owners felt the same way diehard Trump voters feel. That POC's pain and tears aren't real and don't warrant any sympathy. Some believe their are doing the kids a favor since the parents were negligent in bringing then to the border.

I should've done it sooner but I just changed my party affiliation from Republican. Anyone still registered Republican must take a stand now! We must send the message
@GOP cruelty will not be forgiven! I will vote straight D ticket for first time ever!#LeaveTheParty -
Thanks for your support. But, it's not a Dem/Republican issue, or a red vs blue issue. It's an issue of human decency. It takes a special kind of coldhearted person to agree with, support, and promote what Trump and his administration is doing.

and "shipping" them in freight trains. We've become a reprehensible people-along with our government. We've done little to
#ShutItDown other than standard calls and letters to MOC's. ALL OF US NEED TO FIGHT THIS. We need to be public. Everyday more kids are sent to camps, -
I think there are planned protests coming up across the country.
-
Yes, the biggest on June 30.
@MoveOn -
We had gun ralliesWhat actually happened? We had Tax Cut Rallies-what happened? We had Women's Marches-what happened. Policies didn't change. Just excited voters. But they were convenient to make us think we were doing something.
#ShutItDown-be visible now. Days are being wasted. -
Protests organize people. It lets us vent. It shows we have power, that we are fighting back, that come election time they will be u employed. There is power in numbers as they say. And we will prevail to change everything you mentioned.
-
and we love them as long as they fit conveniently into our lives. How many of us stood up and fight back immediately? Not many. We should have been in streets and surrounding Fed/DHS offices from the 1st day it hit the press. How many more children suffer as we fit it in.
-
I’m not going to judge anyone on their timing to take action. We don’t know what is happening in their lives, I know too many who are struggling with major challenges. I do know that people are mobilizing and will not let this stand. Thank you for what you’re doing in your town.
-
we judge the
#GOP. We judge their supporters. And we exclude judging ourselves and how we need to be better? Another 2,000 kids being ripped from parents and into detention centers isn't important enough. Plenty of us can show up-I failed as an organizer. I can look at myself. - 5 more replies

Human trafficking by the USA of foreign nationals looking for asylum. Babies with no justice, choice or freedom kidnapped against their parents’ will to a unrecorded unknown location with no one able to help. It’s horrifying

Think about THIS for a second. 86% of the children who end up in sex trafficking were victimized AFTER they went missing from govt social services & foster homes after being taken away from their families. Source: NCMEC 2016 Report.

It’s as if slave traders from our darkest chapter in American history have reincarnated as the
@GOP. That’s the last time our government allowed the forceful separation of families on such a scale.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

And babies and young girls we have no idea where they are, and they have no legal advocates? Do we really have a free press?

The more I learn, the more I fear that the original & only plan
#Trump & his supporters had for these children was to turn them over to traffickers. Why else have NO plan to reunite them with parents, and why ship kids all over the country when they don't want them here at all? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
