I've now been contacted by dozens of people from the East Pittsburgh area to say that police just shot two teenage boys in the back. According to family, one boy is 13 years old.pic.twitter.com/6yb42XATOS

Ur so damn wrong it’s scary. I have a scenario to justify, only since u said there wasn’t one ! If they had a gun and pointing it back towards officers while fleeing.... that’s is a justified shooting!

Unfortunately, you get shot during traffic stops while sitting in your car; you are shot while standing asking why you're being stopped; you are shot while running; you are shot while holding a cell phone...

But if you get shot at a traffic stop, or you get shot by asking a question, or holding a cellphone, that’s just obvious police brutality. Running away from the police and getting shot is brutality too, but that’s the choice they made instead of turning themselves in.

"That's the choice they made" is too simplistic when it ends in the death of unarmed kids. We consistently give paid leave to officers who were frightened by people of color RUNNING AWAY from them and encourage anger if anyone kneels in protest.

I’m not saying the police officer is right shooting unarmed kids from running away, but this shows you never know who you are dealing with, a regular cop or a trigger happy cop. You can’t roll that dice and see if you get shot or not; but you can try your best to follow the law.

Why do we blame untrained civilians for not being perfect when being under arrest but give passes and endless excuses for men and women who are suppose to be trained for these exact situations.

As somebody new-ish to Pittsburgh.. the red dot is East Pittsburgh, and almost everything in the photo is considered Pittsburgh, with the “Pittsburgh” part obviously being the city... why would the people of the city be any less concerned just bc it’s a few more miles east?pic.twitter.com/FpJxiaUeZK

Its part of Pittsburgh when it’s convenient. First radio broadcast was from Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh, but when its mentioned its always said as it happened in Pittsburgh, Pa.
