Once you have dehumanized someone, even a small child, you can rub them out like an ant. Sooner or later, it is going to happen. Then we have opened the door to the American holocaust. (Yes, the Germans in the 1930s did not think it would happen there either.)

Dehumanizing children was probably part of their training...think of them as instruments so you can sleep at night

So...there’s no chance these kids are being separated from their parents because their parents are breaking the law? If I choose to rob a bank my kids aren’t headed to jail with me. What’s the difference?
-
So easy to not defend these people from a guy assumingly born in the US. It’s called empathy. Grace. Compassion. (Also, seeking asylum isn’t actually breaking any law so your point is invalid.)
-
I’m all for empathy, grace and compassion. I’m also for laws and bored safety. I know why people want to come to the US...I most likely would if I were them. (80% of the cases for those seeking asylum are proved false according to the ICE Director, so maybe your point is invalid)
-
So let me get this right? You’re totally cool and defending children being stolen from their parents cause their parents sought a better future. Got it. So much for
#everybodyalways -
No. That’s not at all what said. And kids aren’t being stolen from their parents. I would also love for families to find a better life here in the US.
-
Ummmm yes. Yes they are. Good grief.
-
Ok. I wish you nothing but success in all you are seeking to develop with the purpose hotel. I do disagree with you on this. Twitter is definitely not the place for conversation, and I was the one who engaged. My bad. Carry on.
-
And that’s the saddest part. You engaged about rules. The original post from Shaun was about the absurdity of the guy saying “we have an orchestra here.” He’s literally mocking traumatized children. But you want to argue rules while we tweet out of desperation to do something.

Will we be like the Germans that sat still and did nothing during the Third Reich’s reign? Are we the new Reich that terrorizes children? Are we any better than they were?
