Let me be very clear on something. Several brand new polls prove this... Tens of millions of Americans have no problem w/ what's going on at our border. Polls show 46% of Republicans, 25% of Independents, & 15% of Democrats are just fine with parents being separated from kids.
Previously, mainstream America made the mistake of thinking that racism and bigotry were fringe aspects of American culture. They aren't. And what we see now, with kids & parents being separated, and people put in literal cages... That's as old as the founding of this place.
We should have known this when Parkland survivors got death threats for speaking up.
"Tale as old as time" is the perfect Disney lyric for describing the separation of brown children from their families. It's nothing new to us,but now yall get to see it on CNN
America was founded on racism and bigotry, it is weaved in the fibers of the American flag.
And, it’s not as though the writing wasn’t on the wall (pun intended). The man-child’s first words were all about racism and bigotry. It is who he is & that isn’t going to change. We cannot accept this in our world. Period.
And ingrained into most/all institutions. 
Are there actual polls to back up the assertion that most Americans are perfectly fine with the inhumane treatment of children?
