The goal is to make conditions for them worse in the US than in the country they are fleeing. But mostly the goal is to appeal to the racists in his base.

It’s government induced PTSD and we’ve seen that damage in adults. Children’s brains are developing. Their past is traumatic enough; to deliberately harm them further just to show you don’t welcome them is inhuman.

Of course its harmful.Small children, suddenly violently ripped from parents, and than moved to Cages w/armed guards who don't speak same language! That is unimaginable terror for a child. Think of how many kids get so hysterical just going preschool etc & X that by 1000.inhumane

I can’t even imagine the horror happening in their minds and spirits. This is America2018 and there are no words for the dictator that started this.

This is where civil disobedience would be helpful on the part of the staff. How can these people work at such an evil place and go home to their own families?

People with a conscience quit because they recognize the horror before their eyes... imagine the people who continue working there.

Even the media phrasing that we are “concerned” about irreparable harm is doing this injustice. This is child abuse. And neglect. And is traumatic for all involved, the children and parents and even staff that are not robots. This is not a concern. This is fact. This is damaging.

This situation is making me sick, really actually physically sick. As a mother it is stressing me to no end. What can I do? I feel a strong need to do something but have no idea how to help. It's keeping me up at night and is the only thing I can focus on. What can I do?

I feel the same - I believe this week we will learn about mass actions in many locations.

It’s not only the cruelty of separating these children from their parents but the torture they continue to endure once in custody. Not allowed any emotional comforts that a child needs to develop into a healthy individual and helped them deal w/ the stress of being separated.

So similar to residential schools in Canada in the past where siblings weren't allowed to comfort each other. History repeats itself.

We talk about cultures breeding hate against America ... and here we are, seeding fear & hate to bring us generations of excuses to be more draconian. Pods of hate to populate distrust, hate, retribution, fear and trauma.
