My gut tells me that if Bernie has the best chance of beating Trump, that most Democrats would still rather run somebody else and lose than run Bernie and win. He’s literally the most popular elected official in the country. He could beat Trump.

1. Trump’s opponent must not share any of his key weaknesses on honesty, character, sexual assault/harassment. They must be the anti-Trump. Barack Obama is the anti-Trump in this sense. Any candidates that have Trump’s weaknesses, and nullify them, shouldn’t run.
2. Trump’s opponent must already be able to pack stadiums (without Beyoncé or Bruce opening up) across the country. Now. They must already have a devoted, energized base. Bernie has this. Oprah & Michelle have it. Most others don’t.
It will be decided on the back of the economy.
