You are right. It got changed later. I guess I just wanted that to matter. It seems like people try to correct their mistakes and the mob is more interested in screaming 'crucify him' than acknowledging it. That is... deeply disturbing to me. Seems like a perfect way to fail.
Journalism grad here...so it does irritate me when journalists fail to properly credit or source their work. But I failed to properly articulate that and you are absolutely right, I joined the chorus of the Twitter mob. 1/
It seems like we both have similar ideals. So rather than celebrating those similarities and further condoning a morally reprehensible individual, we both got caught up in the division. So needless to say...lessons learned for both us. 2/

Outrageous! @thedailybeast how can you publish this? We all know how hard @ShaunKing worked to identify this individual. To let someone else take the credit is just wrong
