4. What surprised me, or at least stung me the most, up and down California was the painful realization that DEMOCRATS were either going to work against, or refuse to work for, the Democratic candidates for DA & Sheriff. It's a national scandal honestly.
5. In Sacramento, the current District Attorney is a lifelong conservative Republican. She refused to even attend the NAACP or ACLU debates & forums.
She built a literal fence around her office after #StephonClark was murdered.
And is supported by almost every elected Democrat
6. In Sacramento, the Mayor is a Democrat, almost the entire City Council are Democrats, Hillary Clinton won the county over Donald Trump, but the locally elected Democratic leaders decided to stick with a truly horrible Republican. They don't want justice reform. That simple.
7. Alameda County has a HORRIBLE District Attorney. Nancy O'Malley literally had one of the worst scorecards on justice reform of any DA in California.
Guess who is backing her? Lock, stock, and barrel.
