When your defense of the Eagles players is that “they did not take a knee, so why is Trump disrespecting them,” you’re leaving the players that did kneel against systemic oppression and police violence, out on an island of othering and ostracization...just like the 45th POTUS.
I kind of agree, but I also think it’s actually appropriate to bring up the fact that Trump is altogether lying. The whole thing is a political stunt for him.
