Basketball's a team sport not a superstar sport. Michael Jordan scored 55 points in a playoff game against the Celtics way back when & he lost too. Once MJ had some players to share the wealth with the Bulls became a juggernaut. It takes at least five guys to win in NBA Finals.

Actually, you can do it with two greats and a cast of role players. Examples: Magic/Jabbar, Kobe/Shaq, Jordan/Pippen, Lebron/Kylie, Duncan/Parker, Lebron/Wade.
