BREAKING: Several star @NFL players have told me they are considering sitting out the season until the de facto ban of Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick is removed and both men are given spots back on rosters.
They aim to get 25% of the players to sit out with them.
BREAKING: A group of NFL players tell me they intend to stop paying their NFL Player’s Association (@NFLPA) dues (between $17k-$18k per year) - stating that @DeSmithNFLPA & the @NFLPA have done a horrible job standing up for them, for their concerns, & for Kaepernick & Eric Reid.
Spoke this afternoon to about a dozen NFL veterans. They said at the root of their problem right now is that they don’t actually have a player’s union - and the protections provided by such a thing.
The @NFLPA is not a union. It has little to not power.
NFL players also do not have a central method of communication with one another. No central email list or text message system. They have group chats and email threads with their team or friends, but struggle to communicate one message to all players in the league.

It’s so good to see the players realize they are the NFL - the rest of the people are leeches of the NFL.
I wondered why I haven’t really heard a response from NFLPA other than that the protest ban happened without their knowledge. If they’ve been silent, that speaks volumes & their members *should* divest. I’d also recommend fans stop buying the Madden video game, which pays NFLPA.
So if I get it right, people are making a big deal about NFL players taking a knee... but we still don't make a big deal about the reasons why they kneel?...

Those men need to be back in the NFL asap. A disgrace that Kaep has been out of a job this long & now Eric Reid is as well.

ESPN 2K5 was the best video football game ever, then @NFLPA sold their soul to EA Sports, thus creating a monopoly and ruining video game football.
I completely agree, Madden still can't match it. Madden has better graphics arms that's about it.
I'm still pretty pissed about the times monopoly lawsuits were brought against EA Madden and they were thrown out. NFL2K5 was $19.99 brand new and Madden 2005 was $49.99 brand new, but 2K5 destroyed it in every independent review.
