I spoke to several NFL players today who said they intend to stay in the locker room during the National Anthem, but that the pressure being put on them by the team not to, including most of their teammates, is fierce. They each said Trump has legitimately spooked the NFL.
Spoke to several more NFL players. Each said they seriously doubt many players will take a knee or even raise a fist or stay in the locker room. The reiterated what other players told me yesterday - the consequences paid by Kaepernick & Eric Reid - have sufficiently spooked them
But raising a fist wasn't included in the NFL's statement, right? I figured we'd just see more of that this year.

do you know how many many people want their spot? They can say they don't want to play because of this, and there will be someone who decides they won't take their politics to work and take the spot. Players aren't going to not want to play and lose their checks. #Reality
Then they have taken the yoke willingly for money. I understand their fear but I also understand where this leads.

Those guys aren't exactly made of the same steel as Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown & Kareem Abdul Jabbar in their playing days.
It would be such an impact if they would join together and ALL stay in the locker room. That is the only way to combat this in my opinion. What could the NFL do in that case? Replace them all? What are they scared of?
Fuck the NFL.
All of this quickly goes away if every player kneeled at the first game of the season. There's power in numbers.
Spooked them? People who have nothing, fight the hardest and become heroes. People who have something, fight with passion and become legends. These are the people who shoulders we stand on. People who do nothing, watch in fear and clench their pearls. Want change, DO something.
If they must stand, they should do it with their backs turned.

Sad they don't realize the power they have. If all the athletes who support Kap would not just stay off the field but not play. The impact would be astounding. And it would only take 1 game to change things.
