The only "free speech" these people care about is the freedom to perform hate speech, just like the only part of "states' rights" that the Confederate South cared about was the "right" of those states to allow slavery. They're appealing to values that they themselves don't hold.

To them free speech only applies to themselves and people who agree with them, as soon as anyone talks against them they turn into hypocrites
