Hey, just a reminder: Masculinity doesn’t have to be all “uwu soft boy” to be non-toxic. Being muscular or strong or rough isn’t inherently toxic. Being aloof or not incredibly emotional isn’t inherently toxic.

Whenever I see non-toxic, positive depictions of that type of masculinity I'm pleased, yet also frustrated at the thought that many people won't see the distinction between it and actual toxic masculinity.

Geralt from The Witcher 3 is a good example. Maddening to think of all those awful gamer nerds who no doubt thought Geralt was cool but totally missed that he was a great example of someone steeped in traditional masculinity but not at all toxic.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with physical strength being associated with masculinity over femininity, because it’s mostly true. The problem is when people use that to assert that masculinity is superior to femininity.
