Drag is really not OK, it ridicules women, no doubt. But blackface led to direct violence against black ppl. Many black women have now explained that we could question drag without comparing with blackface bc they feel it diminishes the fight against racism

With mixed race kids & loads of wonderful friends from all over the world don’t think I can be accused of racism .. I’m not reducing anyone else’s struggle just saying promoting ridiculous stereotypes is dangerous, as is racism.

It's not blackface & you don't have to compare it to that.
-
I’m entitled to my opinions as you are. I see it as imitating either a black person or a woman one is racist ( not acceptable) or sexist also not acceptable

Drag is a very traditional form of entertainment. I think you're over thinking this one.

Love you Sharron. Please delete & reword this. Black face means something VERY different (and far, far more harmful) in the US to here.
-
So explain black face? As my comparison is some one blacking their face to impersonate being black? How am I supposed to say blacking your face if I can’t use those words?

Nope...but, apparently, society will shoot you down if you dare to utter any discontent with the rainbow brigade! Each to their own, but, I do find the constant bombardment quite oppressive!

With you on that
