Shannon and anti-gun liberals live in a society protected by guns (military, police, and civilian),but are upset because people choose to own a gun. If you hate guns so much you should find a society not protected by them. Good luck with that search, BTW.

We need to get rid of the Dickey amendment and other regulations hindering research on guns so decisions are more data driven

Exactly. We want more nonpartisan studies that collect data and extrapolate conclusions from said data. The CDC has one agenda: promote good public health policy. If the NRA is correct and guns save lives, why fight this? Wouldn’t they want good data to back them up?
