Why are such avoidable tragedies treated as acts of God in America? Is it only because that makes it easier on decision makers not to take any action?

In my humble opinion, this young man’s courage and love WAS as act of God. God is love, and I can’t think of a better example of love than this. I’ll bet his parents are humble and amazing people. Just a hunch.
