This is what so many people fail to understand. The presence of a weapon in the household statistically makes you less safe, not more safe. A significant portion of gun deaths and injuries are accidental. I think a safety course and test should be required. Like driving.

how is this dismissed like this!!?? If this child had ingested drugs left lying around or fallen out an open window this would be considered negligent homicide - no difference
