Reminder: Texas law allows the open carry of semiautomatic rifles and does not require a background check, training or an age limit. Walmart also allows open carry.
Lawmakers and companies are not protecting their constituents or their customers.

Hard to really feel empathetic to all this when we're dealing with a state who openly advocates such lawlessness with regard to gun laws. The ignorance and stubbornness is ASTOUNDING!

Most Texans want stricter gun control laws than the state currently has. e.g. from a couple of years ago: https://www.texastribune.org/2016/02/25/uttt-poll-texans-favor-background-checks-all-gun-s/ … . Do not confuse the Texas state GOP for the Texas public.

partially. you are not allowed to open carry a gun in the shooting position. that is called brandishing a weapon, and that is illegal.
