I am finally realizing if there were stricter gun laws we wouldn't have worry about the wrong people owning weapons.

Register all weapons - the owner of record is liable for all crimes committed with the weapon unless they can demonstrate they had it properly secured and made timely reporting of any theft. Universal background check - nobody buys without reasonable precautions.

I used to be in banking. There was NO security person at my branches. No one had a gun. There were cameras, microphones and exploding dye packs in the bait money. That was all.

The only place I've ever seen a security guard in a bank is in the movies.

They now have armed security at the Best Buy near me, in a really low crime area. The wording on their vest indicates they’re off duty cops so at least they (theoretically) have proper training HOWEVER Mrs. Miller the kinder teacher, shouldn’t have to be armed

And the sheer number of schools and teachers plus the ongoing training necessary to have proficient response to an emergency. There are simply better ways to face the problem.

Shooting a pistol is not as easy as people think. Most people miss. Add in chaos and children all around and most people would freeze.
