It’s scary out there. A democratic candidate in Binghamton who had received death threats, while holding his child was hit in the back with a can of soda. The truck driver who threw it, yelled “liberal.” Candidate against Steve King, Iowa, also withdrew after death threats.
The window of the Albany County Democratic Committee's headquarters was riddled by a half-dozen bullets this week. I did some quick online search, found nothing about J.D. Scholten withdrawing from race against Steve King in Iowa. As of 2 days ago he was still raising money. In last 3-month reporting period he outraised King by about $210K to $70K for King. 3rd quarter in a row for that.
