    Enough. If EDD won’t follow through with its promises—the Legislature must step in. I’m authoring to require EDD to crossmatch claims with prison records. I invite all of my colleagues to join me & coauthor the legislation. >

    EDD was unprepared for UI fraud by incarcerated individuals—EDD estimated it paid $810 million in benefits to claimants who were incarcerated. Read more here:

    I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Officer Merritt. I send my condolences to his family, friends and brothers and sisters in blue during this difficult time. May his life and dedication to protecting and serving others never be forgotten.

    The Bakersfied Area is saddened to announce the passing of Officer Scott Edward Merritt, ID 18134, who passed away from complications related to COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and those who knew and loved him. Godspeed brother.

    As we choke on smoke and watch our beautiful state burn, what are the priorities for ? Eliminating ketchup packets and plastic forks. would require you to have to remember to ask for ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, salt and more with your takeout meal. I voted NO.

    EDD has barely implemented any of the State Auditor’s recommendations. As of July 31, over 200K people stuck in a backlog. Up to $31B dispersed in fraudulent claims yet the hearing on mismanagement at EDD was canceled. Why are protecting ’s failed EDD?
