    Everyone has issues they care about during election time and so many politicians campaign to the left, but one of real litmus tests of actual political courage & defiance of status quo is political willingness to support Palestine. Should be baseline for left support.

    Free labor. Those men didn’t have wives, they had staff. Women who worked themselves into early graves maintaining households, compounds. Administration, organization, birthing, midwifery, childcare, healthcare, daily food production, farming, outside work subsidizing costs +MORE

    How was your grand Father able to handle 2 to 3 wives and still lived up to 90+ ? What was the magic back then that can’t be implemented today?

    UPDATE: grudgingly agrees not to report and punish intoxicated rape victims for being intoxicated when they are raped but only for the time period AFTER they report the rape. If they take some time to report as most survivors do, it seems they are on their own.

    The Bush admin told NY the air was safe to breathe, they said we should return to normal and go shopping. Rescue & cleanup workers were told to not wear masks bc it could frighten the public. OSHA was kept away. Then it took 9 years to get a decent law covering their health care

    Commemorating 9/11 doesn’t have anything to do with people who died that day. It’s about promoting a myth of a victimized and unified country whose subsequent and ongoing invasions, torture and drone wars can be justified as necessary and even moral acts.
