It's not really about sex. Sex represents power & control. It's bonkers, but they feel angry that they are 'controlled' by desire and people they see as lower caste. They think they are protagonists and the narrative is going wrong, because where's the girl the hero is supposed/1

2/ supposed to get? They take the toxic messages of the culture at face value the same way white supremacists do as a way of explaining why they don't have what they feel they're 'entitled to'. Domination and power over leaders. Getting them laid won't solve that.

Incels have very little interest in sex as an act. What they want is the host of intangibles society connects to sex: masculinity, beauty, power over women, impressing other men. Quite a few have had sex but still identify as "incel" because sex didn't give them those things.
