If you don't have a single conservative (or even a vaguely right-leaning person) among your friends and friends of friends, you're doing something wrong. Or, if you think it's right, then you should at least be straight up about it: It means you're not as open minded as you think

The interesting thing is I've mostly heard people push for cultural diversity in order to have ideological diversity, but actually in practice people want everyone to think the same.

It could just be that you have stretched the definition of “personhood” to such unbelievable extremes that even a disagreement over the credibility of subjective claims is regarded as an intolerable blasphemy. They can be your “friends”... once they share *all* of your views.

Nope, I don’t need a “friend” who thinks caging babies is fine, climate change is a hoax, science is fake, and doesn’t mind racist language from the president. I put up with that if I have to from my relatives, but I get to choose my friends.
