Some believe a distrust of institutions is more pervasive than anticipated across many voter groups, and that it leads conservative voters to avoid participating in polls in disproportionate numbers. No, it's primarily the disenfranchisement of voters and "lost" ballots that have remained undelivered. Institutional distrust may play a role, but smaller.

@EdelmanPR and @pewresearch have been studying issues of trust of institutions for a while. It’s real. I see it often in focus groups on consumer food safety messaging. Signs of distrust of institutions and the things they are saying.

Wait for the counting to finish and you know the actual errors before writing articles on how the polls are wrong.

Why were election polls so far off in 2020? A likely culprit is "non-response bias" in the polling data driven by people I call "poll trolls". These trolls didn't respond to the poll to troll the system and were therefore not fully accounted for in the data. Let me explain.1/9

Please stop pontificating on "why the polls were wrong." We don't know that! We *do* know foreign actors were emboldened by the successful Russian 2016 election fraud. And we *do* know the US intel agencies said it's happening again. But we *don't* know the polls were wrong.
